Martin Svítek
High school student from the Czech Republic. I'm interested in designing and building aircraft — from airfoil analysis to firmware — and I'm applying to study aerospace engineering in the US.
About me
I'm a student at SPŠE Pilsen, a technical high school in the Czech Republic, where I focus on electronics, programming and engineering. My interest in aerospace started long before that. I've been interested in engineering and specifically aerospace ever since I can remember. What I like most is the point where aerodynamics, electronics, and code have to work together, which is what both of my main projects ended up being about.
I enjoy physics, math, and cybernetics, but outside of school I also record and edit music videos, visual effects and other creative work. It's a different discipline, but it taught me how to plan a project, work with other people, and finish something I started.
Selected projects
-
RC plane from scratch
RC plane designed entirely without commercial kits, from aerodynamics to electronics and code.
-
Airfoil AI
Neural network surrogate made to predict airflow, pressure, and velocity around an arbitrary airfoil.
Experience
Development of a cable-testing system, at a Czech company building satellites.
