HHO electrolyzer
A simple electrolyzer design for producing hydrogen and oxygen gases through the process of electrolysis I designed and built at the age of 13.
The electrolyzer was made using a glass jar, stainless steel plates, and an old PC power supply. The design was simple yet effective, allowing for the production of HHO gas which can be used for various applications. At the time I thought it was super cool to create something that explodes and makes a loud noise. I still think it's pretty cool.
What I learned
Building the HHO electrolyzer taught me about the basics of electrolysis and the properties of hydrogen and oxygen gases. It also showed me the importance of safety when working with electrical components and reactive chemicals. But most importantly, it sparked my interest in science and engineering, leading me to pursue further projects and studies in these fields.
